We have been looking closely at Mechanical energy since the year began. Now we have covered energy transformations, conservation of energy, efficiency and calculations for kinetic and potential energy, work and power, it is time for a check. The criteria A test comes next week, and we have prepared using examples and reviews for the past few lessons. Our Schoology page contains so many examples and worked solutions that this should be a less stressful time.
The camp week sees us look at respiration as we prepare for the upcoming task on fitness. We start with where and how. The idea of energy changes and energy expressions will hopefully help understand what occurs. The importance and basic process understanding will lead into a look at aerobic and anaerobic versions - of course, oxygen supply is the difference. This will greatly assist in understanding the results we gain from experimental studies of how physical activity impacts our internal energy supply.
We will incorporate previous knowledge with respiration to come up with energy-based explanations as to what happens when we engage in physical activity. It will involve some calculations as well as descriptive explanations of respiration to fully explain the scientific theory and practice.
The task will also link nicely to a later Inter-Disciplinary Unit we complete which will link what we know with practical applications as a personal trainer.
Have a great midterm break to recharge.
